Conveyancing is the legal act of transfering the title of a property from one peron to another. A system of conveyancing is usually designed to ensure that the buyer secures title to the land together with all the rights that run with the land, and is notified of any restrictions in advance of purchase. Conveyancing also ensures that the buyer obtains a 'good and marketable' title and that the seller of the property has the legal right to do so.

Conveyancing is generally carried out in England in Wales by either a solicitor or a licensed conveyancer
